Environmental Sustainability is an integral part of a tannery and we are very much aware of its significance. Right from the very early days of our company, KKSK has gone into research and developments in this field and have set the benchmarks. Our efforts have been appreciated by not only by the government bodies but also the common citizenry.
For a tanner to be environmentally sustainable, they must use fresh water as less as possible and also recycle & reuse their wastewater as much as possible. We can strongly vouch that we are one of the best in the world in doing both.
To convert one kg of raw hide into finished leather; we use a very meager 2.5 ltr of Fresh Water where as the world’s average is more 18 Ltr per kg.
